Don’t Make Fun Of YCP MLAs: Naidu Orders

Published by

Back in 2021, Telugu Desam supremo Chandrababu Naidu walked out of the assembly after YCP MLAs used slurs and abused his family members. He vowed to return to the assembly only as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, and he did so emphatically by leading the TDP+ alliance to a 164-seat win in the election.

Naidu addressed the assembly for the first time in his new tenure today, maintaining a strong emotional core in his speech while taking a thoughtful stance.

Naidu remarked that he had been in the assembly for 9 different terms but had never seen an assembly like the previous term (2019-24).

He pointed out that YCP MLAs, instead of focusing on policymaking, had abused his family members and made personal comments against him. The political veteran turned a bit emotional while explaining how YCP MLAs were abusing his family members.

The TDP supremo pointed out that the worst days are behind us and vowed to uphold the democratic spirit by conducting assembly sessions in a straightforward manner from now on.

Naidu asked the alliance MLAs not to make fun of YCP MLAs and reminded them to reflect on how YCP had mocked TDP by citing “23 MLAs” in the previous term.
