One of the flagship electoral terms used by Nara Lokesh in the TDP+ election campaign is the “Red Book”. Through this red book, Lokesh warned government officials and police officers who went out of their way and worked at the will of the YCP government. This move from Lokesh instilled some fear in the workforce after he physically carried the red book in his campaign.
Now, in a clear implication of Lokesh’s “Red book”, Telangana is starting to see a black book and this time, it is BRS’s turn to carry this narrative.
BRS MLA and the newfound firebrand leader of the party Padi Kaushik Reddy came in front of the media today and he displayed the “Black Book” in a bid to warn the government officials. “This is my warning to the officers who are working at Congress’s command. All your names are being logged in this book and there will be consequences once we are back in power in 2028.”
While Lokesh’s “Red book” was a generic and first-of-its-kind idea, BRS’s “Black book” looks like a copy of the TDP scion’s narrative. Will BRS’s black book gain as much prominence as Lokesh’s ideation? We have to wait for a while to know the answer. But what must be noted is that Lokesh’s impactful “Red Book” is working the trick all over.
