YSR Congress is pretty much facing an existential crisis in Andhra Pradesh as the party was confined to just 11 seats in the recent assembly elections.
While the party head, Jagan, and other key leaders have been blaming EVMs for this result, one of the party’s ex-MLAs, Kasu Mahesh Reddy from the Gurujala constituency has revealed the 4 main reasons why he believes YCP got rejected by the public.
The first reason he quoted is the liquor policy as he opined that the people felt their lives were affected by the cheap-grade liquor in the state. He noted the cheap liquor as a major influence against YCP. He then quoted the poor sand policy due to which the construction sector moved away from the party as finding sand for economical prices proved to be a rarity.
Not stopping at that, Kasu indirectly blamed Kodali Nani and Vallabhaneni Vamsi by saying some of the former TDP leaders who joined YCP had crossed the line in abusing Chandrababu. He said this relentless mudslinging worked against YCP’s own image as people are always averted by abusive politics.
The fourth reason quoted is that the widespread misinformation on the Land Titling Act which the YCP government could effectively counter.
For whatever reason, the YCP MLA spoke actual facts and assessed reasons behind the humiliating defeat instead of blaming EVMs, which is the need of the hour for the Jagan party.
