‘Inka Time Padutundi Sir’, Lokesh To Naidu

In an interesting development today, Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh shared the same stage during a pension distribution program held in Penumaka in the early hours of July 1st, followed by a public meeting.

At the meeting, both Naidu and Lokesh were all smiles as they chatted with the public. They even took a sly dig at Jagan Mohan Reddy during their interaction when Lokesh pointed out that officers seem to be taking more time to stop the “Paradha” culture, which was infused by the previous Chief Minister (Jagan). Lokesh remarked, “Inka time padutundi anukunta sir” (I think it will take more time, sir).

He made this comment perhaps after seeing a few Paradhas (obstructive materials to keep the CM away from the public) at Naidu’s meeting area. However, Chandrababu was quick to correct Lokesh, stating that the Paradha culture is being phased out. He warned that serious action would be taken against officials if this culture did not stop immediately.

Naidu emphasized that the new government’s policy is to be close to the public. “This is still early in my tenure, so I’m going slow, but I will change gears soon. You will see the Chandrababu of 1995 soon. The work rate will be amped up. AP was going in reverse gear these past five years, and we will switch it to top gear henceforth.”

Lokesh and Chandrababu’s playful mocking of Jagan through “Paradhas” captivated the locals, and the camaraderie between the father-son duo, who are key figures in the current government, was a sight to behold for TDP activists.
