From the past few days, rumours have been making rounds all over in Andhra Pradesh that former Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is planning to merge his party with Indian National Congress in the aftermath of the humiliating electoral performance in the recent assembly elections and also due to fear of arrest in various CBI and ED cases.
Some reports even claimed that Jagan shifted his base to Karnataka permanently and already held talks with Congress leaders in Karnataka to join hands with them. Though there isn’t an iota of proof for these allegations, some portals continued to speculate the news and even published a photo of Jagan and Deputy CM DK Shiva Kumar to corroborate their claims as true.
Reacting strongly on these baseless rumours, DK Shiva Kumar clarified that he hasn’t met Jagan Mohan Reddy and asserted that no should believe the ongoing rumours. He posted one such article published in a Telugu outlet claiming that Jagan met him recently and proposed to merge YSRCP with the Congress party after winning only 11 seats out of 175 in the 2024 assembly elections.
DK wrote in Kannada that some scoundrels are spreading fake photos with Jagan Mohan Reddy and condemned that there is no truth in their claims. The reason for these rumours is probably because Jagan went to his residence in Bengaluru immediately after his tour to Pulivendula.
