KCR Faces Setback in High Court

Former Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao sought a stay on further proceedings of Justice L. Narasimha Reddy Commission to investigate the power purchase agreement with Chattisgarh.

The former CM also sought a stay on the proceedings regarding the construction of the Bhadradri and Yadadri Thermal Power Plants during the BRS government. But, he faced a setback from the honourable court now.

The division bench, comprising Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Anil Kumar Jukanti, pronounced its decision on Monday. The High court dismissed the writ petition filed by KCR.

In his petition, KCR contended that Justice Narasimha Reddy held a press conference and concluded that the previous government committed irregularities. KCR also claimed that the judge is coming to a conclusion before the investigation or without hearing his contention. “This was nothing but that the Commission came to predetermined and pre-judged,” submitted KCR in his report.

We have to wait and see the stand of KCR in this case as it is slowly becoming a head ache for him, especially when not in the power.
