Under the guidance of IPAC, the YSR Congress allegedly spread significant misinformation before 2019 and successfully gained power that year. However, the party was decisively rejected again in 2024 as the Andhra Pradesh public sided with the TDP+ alliance after witnessing YCP’s misrule over the past five years.
Despite the shocking and painful defeat, YCP hasn’t changed its approach when it comes to spreading misinformation and fake propaganda. Through its official Twitter handle, the party has launched a “Fake Brahmastra” against the TDP+ government.
According to the latest tweet from the YCP handle, a new liquor brand named 999 Power Star has been introduced in AP. The handle shared fabricated videos showing 999 Power Star liquor bottles and accused the TDP+ government of selling counterfeit liquor under false names, implying it was done in the name of Pawan Kalyan.
However, it turns out that this liquor brand named Power Star was actually introduced when Jagan was the CM in 2022 and approved by the YCP government at that time. In fact, Pawan Kalyan himself mocked Jagan for introducing a liquor brand named Power Star.
Supporters of the alliance are sharing government notifications regarding the introduction of Power Star liquor in 2022 by the YCP government. Despite this evidence, the YCP handle has not yet deleted their tweet, continuing to spread the fake propaganda.
