Telangana CM Revanth Reddy has been in full-fledged duties for over six months now, raising high expectations regarding who will succeed him as TPCC president and lead the internal affairs of the Congress in Telangana.
Interestingly, numerous names are circulating as contenders for the TPCC presidency, making the race increasingly competitive. Several aspirants are being considered:
Firstly, brothers G Vivek and G Vinod, both from the SC community, are in the running. Also from the erstwhile Adilabad district is Vidya Sagar Rao, representing the Velama community.
Additionally, Komatireddy Raja Gopal Reddy, a prominent Congress leader from Nalgonda, is under consideration. However, with his brother Venkat Reddy serving as a cabinet minister, there are questions about whether Raja Gopal will be offered another significant role such as PCC president.
From Nizamabad, Sudershan Reddy’s name is being mentioned, while Srihari Mudiraj is a contender from Mahabubnagar.
If the Congress high command opts for a leader from the Goud community, potential candidates include Madhu Yashki Goud and B Mahesh Kumar Goud.
With Congress assuming power in Telangana and Revanth Reddy leading the charge effectively, there is substantial interest in the TPCC president post. The final decision may come after Revanth’s upcoming trip to Delhi, where he will discuss the matter with party leaders before an announcement is made.
