In a surprise midnight development, 6 MLCs from the BRS party switched loyalties to Congress in the presence of chief minister A Revanth Reddy at his residence in Hyderabad. It is not expected from anyone and also comes as a big shock to the party.
The BRS suffered a big blow with the defection of MLCs Dande Vittal, Bhanu Prasad, B. Dayanand, Prabhakar Rao, Egge Mallesham, and Basavaraju Saraiah.
With the latest addition of these 6 MLCs from Congress, the party now has a strength of 12 in the Legislative Council. We have to see how KCR will counter attack this poaching.
