YSR Varasulu: Sharmila Shoots 3 Questions To Jagan

The tug-of-war to establish who is the true successor of YS Rajasekhar Reddy continues between YS Jagan, who has traditionally enjoyed this privilege, and Sharmila, who is actively working to splinter the YS vote bank. This was evident when Sharmila recently held a grand event in Mangalagiri to commemorate YSR Jayanthi on July 8th.

Sharmila has now posed three direct questions to Jagan, seemingly questioning his loyalty to YSR.

Firstly, Sharmila questioned why Jagan couldn’t spare even a few moments to sit at the YSR Samadhi in Idupulapaya, and why he hurriedly left in less than 5 minutes.

Next, as the AP Congress president, she connected Jagan’s Siddham meetings with YSR Jayanthi, asking, “You spent crores of rupees on your Siddham meetings, but couldn’t allocate any funds for YSR commemoration services? Are you so self-centered that you neglect YSR’s legacy?”

Lastly, Sharmila asked Jagan whether he truly believes YSR deserves special recognition on his 75th Jayanthi. If so, why did he not allocate any resources to celebrate this occasion?

Sharmila’s dissatisfaction with Jagan’s approach to the YSR legacy is clear. By raising these questions on YSR Jayanthi, she aims to stake her claim to the ‘YSR Varasulu’ image, highlighting what some observers view as Jagan’s lackluster efforts.
