How Revanth Reddy Managing It!

Ahead of the local body elections in Telangana, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is proceeding with a concrete plan to empty the BRS and simultaneously, ensure that there is no dissent among the Congress leaders despite the entry of the opposition leaders and legislators.

Over 9 BRS MLAs had already switched loyalties to the Congress and a few more are likely to shift their allegiance in the coming days.

Revanth Reddy is ably countering BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s challenge of toppling the Congress government by encouraging more influx from the opposition party.

In the nine constituencies where the BRS leaders were inducted, the Congress is strong in a few and there are other constituencies where the party has lost with a narrow margin.

In Chevella, Bheem Bharat who contested on a Congress ticket was defeated by BRS’ Kale Yadaiah with just 282 votes. Bharat and his supporters, who are relentlessly trying to get a grip on the constituency, have expressed dissatisfaction over the induction of Yadaiah. However, Revanth Reddy had successfully minimized the demur by his party leaders in the constituency. Revanth Reddy is ensuring that Congress leaders are not expressing their dissent in the public by speaking to them personally and stressing on the need for the Congress government to remain stable for the next five years in the state.

According to sources, he is reassuring the Congress leaders and activists that they would be given suitable elevation in the party by giving priority in the nominated posts.
