Karanam Balaram to bid goodbye to YCP?

YCP president and former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is in throes of despair following the trouncing in recently held elections and subsequent departing of leaders from his party.

The number of leaders leaving YCP is increasing by the day.

With the number of cases also piling up, he is worried if arrest is imminent.

According to the buzz, former MLA Karanam Balaram is also set to bid adieu to the party.

After the party’s humiliating defeat in the elections, former minister Ravela Kishore Babu announced his exit from YCP. Former Vijayawada MP Keisneni Nani quit active politics. Film actor Ali also left his political career.

In 2019, Balaram won as MLA on TDP ticket from Cheerala but later moved to the YCP.

In the recently held elections, Balaram’s son Karanam Venkatesh contested on YCP ticket but lost pushing his political future into jeopardy. In this backdrop, Balaram has decided to distance himself away from the YCP and begin attempts to return to the TDP.

But, it is doubtful if TDP boss N. Chandrababu Naidu would induct him back into the party.
