Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s swift response to the case of a YouTuber Praneeth Hanumanthu making inappropriate comments about a minor girl has garnered widespread appreciation, particularly from actor Sai Durga Tej (Sai Dharam Tej).
The mega hero who had earlier expressed his strong disapproval of the YouTuber’s remarks, met with the Chief Minister to discuss the way forward in curbing child abuse and the misuse of social media.
The actor conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the CM for assuring stringent rules and actions to make Telangana a safer place for children, calling it a significant step towards change.
The Telangana government and police swiftly responded to the incident, with the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) filing an FIR against the YouTuber, Praneeth Hanumanthu, under relevant sections of the IT Act, BNS, and POCSO Act.
He was arrested in Bengaluru and brought to Hyderabad for further legal proceedings, a move that has been widely applauded.
