Buggana lobbying heavily to join BJP?

Crisis for YCP president and former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is deepening by the day with many of his party leaders abandoning the party.

According to the buzz, the latest among leaders likely to quit the party is former finance minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy. It is learnt that he is eyeing to switch sides to the BJP.

With a few of the party leaders already quitting the party and many more waiting in the wings, Jagan is worried about his future.

Since the Assembly election results declared the defeat of YCP, Buggana had disappeared from the political radar in the state. He is not in touch either with his colleagues or party functionaries. He is camping in New Delhi and reportedly, lobbying heavily to join the BJP.

With the TDP coalition government going on the offensive and releasing a White Paper on his department, which indicated heavy irregularities in the wing, and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu declaring that there would be action against the guilty, Buggana is fearing the worst.

Being the finance minister, he had been visiting Delhi for his department works and in the process, developed good relations with the BJP bigwigs. Now, he wants to use these relations for his benefit and gain entry into the party to avoid grilling and subsequent action in connection with the financial irregularities in Andhra Pradesh.

Buggana has mining and cement businesses in both the Telugu states, Tamil Naidu and Karnataka.

To avoid trouble in the future, Buggana is learnt to have expedited attempts to switch loyalties to the BJP.
