If there is one thing that former minister K Roja always manages to do, it should be her tendency to stay in the news for one news or another. After the election, she has been coming under the pump as JSP and TDP supporters have been giving it back to her for all the hate comments she made on Chandrababu and Pawan while YCP was in power.
Now, Roja is in the news for another new reason and this evidently paints a bad picture of her amongst the public. A video of Roja displaying “untochability” has started to go viral big time on social media now.
This video was taken on Roja’s recent trip to Tamil Nadu’s Tiruchendur temple. In the video, Roja is seen gesturing to the sanitation workers not to get close to her while taking a selfie. The former minister is seen stopping the workers from getting close to her.
Immediately after this video surfaced on social platforms, Twitterati and social analysts started commenting that Roja has openly displayed “untouchability” by not letting sanitation workers get close to her. This has led to a huge uproar already and is catching steam.
Usually, in politics, leaders are expected to show compassion towards all sections of the public. But in this case, Roja, being a former minister has come under the pump for displaying untouchability while in public and this is earning her a lot of criticism from all quarters.
