Over the last week or so, there have been several media reports and special features on the alleged illicit relationship between Vijayasai Reddy and a government employee named Shanthi. Vijayasai recently appeared before the media and vowed to take stern action against concerned media authorities and individuals.
Not stopping there, the YCP veteran has now announced that he is taking his ugly fight with the media outlets to the Rajya Sabha. He will soon be presenting a private member bill in the house to instigate action against certain media outlets.
In his latest social media post, Vijayasai wrote “I will introduce a private member Bill in Parliament to empower the Press Council of India & Media Institutions to take action against casteist media houses, particularly in AP that are peddling fake news, defaming, extortion & blackmailing people with a hidden agenda. With power comes responsibility, but the latter is missing in a section of the media”.
While the local Telugu media outlets have challenged to fight any kind of battle with Vijayasai over this matter, the YCP veteran has taken it up to the upper house of Rajya Sabha. Bringing up restrictions against media is nearly impossible in any manner, but Vijayasai appears to be determined to make it happen.
