MLAs Quitting: What Is KCR’s Defense Plan?

After losing the 2023 assembly election and drawing a blank in the recent MP polls, BRS is getting to taste its own medicine as the party is losing its MLAs left right, and center. After having lost nearly 10 MLAs in the recent past, it appears that KCR has resorted to an interesting defense mechanism, and here is a look into the same.

With the departure of these 10 MLAs, BRS is weakened in these constituencies due to the lack of leadership. This is where the party president KCR has acted swiftly and started the plan to appoint in-charges locally in order to energize the cadres and party workers.

With Danam Nagender of Khairatabad joining Congress, KCR is likely to appoint Manne Govardhan Reddy as the in-charge here. Prakash Goud of Rajendranagar quit BRS and took Congress oath recently and BRS is likely to replace him with Sabita Indra Reddy’s son Karthik Reddy.

Mass leader Arekapudi Gandhi, who also left BRS and joined Congress is an unassailable force in Serilingampally. In an attempt to recover the damage, BRS is likely to announce a replacement soon. But replacing Gandhi is said to be nearly impossible here.

Patancheru’s Mahipal Reddy joined Congress recently and BRS is to appoint Bhupal Reddy as the BRS in-charge it seems.
