TDP MLC and party’s national general secretary Nara Lokesh has been booked by Akividu police. Police booked a case against Lokesh for driving a tractor and responsible for mishap. Going into details, Lokesh, who was visiting flood-hit areas and inspecting the damaged crops in West Godavari district, had a narrow escape the other day when he drove a tractor in Akividu at Siddhapuram.
While the tractor lost balance, it rammed into the Upputeru canal. Undi MLA Mantena Ramaraju who was next to Lokesh had come to the rescue of Lokesh and controlled the tractor. While Lokesh escaped from mishap without any injury, his security and TDP leaders had breathed a huge sigh of relief.
Meanwhile, police have also charged Lokesh for not duly following the Covid-19 guidelines. The case was filed under sections 279, 184 and 54A of the Epidemic Act. TDP leaders allege that the opposition leader has been targeted by police unwantedly.
On the other hand, YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy threw a satire on Lokesh. He took to Twitter and asked if mishap happened due to the tractor he drove falling into a nearby hole or whether the hole was formed due to his weight on the tractor.
