Watch Here: YS Jagan Never Lies?

Published by

There have been certain constant features in YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s public forum speeches of late. They are either in reference to the EVM tampering, or vague reasoning for the defeat in the recent election. Jagan is repeatedly saying he is ready to lose the elections, but he is never prepared to lie just so that he can be in power.

In his latest interaction with party cadres, Jagan said “If people ask me why couldn’t have I lied and made false promises to retain power, I would reply that I would be prepared to be in opposition rather than be in power by lying. I want to uphold dignity and integrity. I am never prepared to lie just for the sake of power.”

While Jagan’s statement might look like an emotionally stirring one for a section of the YCP cadres, they have again given stuff to trolls on social media.

TDP and Janasena cadres have quickly pounced on Jagan’s statement about integrity. They are commenting that Jagan proudly makes tall claims about integrity and telling the truth while his CM tenure is accused of one of India’s biggest cash-only operative liquor syndicates after Jagan promised to impose a liquor ban during the 2019 campaign.

The supporters of the alliance are digging up the instances when Jagan flouted his pre-poll promises after coming to power. This is invalidating Jagan’s claims today about being ready to lose power to uphold integrity while in reality, his tenure was a reflection of the exact opposite. With so much pitted against Jagan, the YCP boss still giving stuff to trolls with elevation statements is hard to comprehend.
