IAS officer Amrapali, who lost the legal battle against DoPT’s order for allotment of Telangana cadre, has now been transferred to Andhra Pradesh. Along with three other IAS officers, Amrapali reported to the Andhra Pradesh secretariat yesterday.
Ever since the news of Amrapali’s allotment to Andhra Pradesh came out, there has been a discussion on social media that she will be included in Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s push. Pawan Kalyan is looking forward to working with young and dynamic officers, and he already got IAS Krishna Teja to AP from Kerala for deputation.
Pawan, who oversees the Panchayat Raj, Drinking Water Supply, Rural Development, Science and Technology, Forests, and Environment departments, may utilize her expertise in these areas.
It is still unclear if Pawan wanted Amrapali in her office or not. But, these 4 IAS officers who reported to CS yesterday are expected to be meeting chief minister Chandra Babu Naidu today and post that, they will be allocated the work.
Amrapali previously held key positions, including GHMC Commissioner and in the Prime Minister’s Office, overseeing southern state affairs.
