Amaravati Unstoppable – Gets New Railway Line

The government of Andhra Pradesh, led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, has been actively working towards the development of the Amaravati Capital Region. Right after forming the government, Naidu brought funds from the central government to develop the capital city. Now, giving a significant boost, the central government approved a new railway line to Amaravati.

The central government has recently announced a 57-km railway line for Amaravati, costing approximately Rs. 2245 crore. The Union Railway Minister, AShwini Vaishnaw, said the news today. This new line will enhance Amaravati’s connectivity to major cities like Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru.

The railway line will make travel between Amaravati and various parts of India, including northern, central, and southern regions, more convenient. It will further connect Amaravati to Machilipatnam, Krishnapatnam, and Kakinada ports, improving transportation in these port regions. Additionally, the railway line will also boost tourism by providing ease of travel to destinations like Amaravati Stupa, Dhyana Buddha Project, Amaralingeshwara Swamy Temple, and Undavalli Caves.
