YCP boss Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his sister Y.S. Sharmila have been washing their dirty linen in the public for last few years. Their mother and YCP former honorary president Y.S. Vijayamma could do little to iron out the differences between the siblings. She even took the side of her daughter Sharmila, which reflects that she believes that latter had been deceived.
In this situation, a key question keeps arising. Where are all those people who benefited from former CM late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and can’t they drive away the discord between the siblings?
Temporarily, Jagan and Sharmila seemed to have reconciled and they displayed it by sitting together and sharing pleasantries. But, it did not last long. Jagan approached the NCLT in connection with shares worth Rs 200 crore, stating that they were illegally transferred to her mom and sister.
What happened to the close kin and other well-wishers of YS family? None seems ready to volunteer as mediators between the brother and sister.
Neither YV Subba Reddy nor KVP Ramachandra Rao, who had been called the soul of YSR when he was the CM, are ready to reduce the animosity between the siblings. Or are they fearing that their involvement would lead to more trouble?
A majority of YSR’s assets include companies he had floated when he was the CM, which indicate how he had amassed wealth on a large-scale. Many people who had moved closely with him would know the background behind setting up of those firms and what YSR had planned to do with them in the future. If those people could throw some light about what conspired when YSR was alive and whom did YSR give the proceedings from those companies, it could defuse the tension and anxiety in the family.
There is an opinion that YCP Rajya Sabha MP V. Vijayasai Reddy, who had been the auditor of all the companies owned by YSR, can help resolve the issue. Vijayasai Reddy has knowledge about the background of all the firms, stocks and shares owned by the YSR family.
If he can tell some truths, YSR’s soul would rest in peace, felt YCP activists.
