Sibling rivalry between former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and APCC chief Y.S. Sharmila is being keenly followed by the media. Not just the national media, even prominent media outlets in the eastern states also published stories about the Saraswati Power shares which has been a bone of content between Jagan and Sharmila.
Jagan is always busy managing his businesses and commuting between Amaravati and Bengaluru. There is buzz that he is also not well versed in the company laws and litigations, despite having basic intuitive skills about running businesses. In such a background, who helped Jagan from getting stuck in another trouble, regarding Saraswati Power shares?
It is being said that Jagan’s trusted lieutenant and MP V. Vijayasai Reddy played a pre-emptive role and saved himself and Jagan from being arrested and seeking bail.
It is learnt that he prevented the transfer of Saraswati Power shares from Jagan’s mother YS Vijayamma to his sister YS Sharmila. In last July, Sharmila reportedly tried to get the shares in the name of her mother transferred to her, in a furtive manner.
However, Vijayasai Reddy got wind of it and prevented the shifting as it would subsequently put him and Jagan in trouble.
In August 2019, Jagan transferred 48 per cent of his 99 per cent share in Saraswati Powers to his mother. He even mentioned that some part of the shares would be given to his sister Sharmila as gift deed. Jagan also made provision for shifting of these shares to Vijayamma and Sharmila after the ED cases against him are resolved.
Vijayasai Reddy had been witness to the entire episode that happened in Bengaluru.
When Vijayasai Reddy could get information about even the personal issues of YS family, why is he not volunteering to mediate between the brother and sister and resolve the property dispute between them?
