KTR Reveals Where He Was That Night

Published by

Former IT minister and BRS working president KT Rama Rao lambasted Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for terming a family gathering as a rave party. He should stop such witch-hunting and do something productive being in power, he said.

He took objection to the suspecting words used by the media in addressing people there as men and women while they were husbands and wives.

KTR’s brother-in-law Raj Pakala organized a family gathering on the occasion of purchasing a new home at Janwada.

KTR wondered how could a family gathering be misinterpreted as a rave party.

Even sniffer dogs were pressed into service but the police officers themselves said that there were no clues of any drugs at the house raided. How can cases be framed under the NDPS Act, KTR asked.

Taking a swipe at the media, he said that it was unfair to report that he was present at the party and left the place just minutes before the raid.

KTR said that he was with his father at Erravelli last night and then headed to his house and went off to sleep. Since morning, there has been several reports about the ‘rave party’.

KTR suggested that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy focus on things which would do public good rather than make mountains out of mole hills and try to foist cases on the BRS.

Police even conducted urine tests to confirm about consumption of drugs. Only one person was found to have consumed drugs. “My brother-in-law and 12 others tested negative.”

The BRS will not be cowed down by such provocative acts but will continue to fight against the discrimination by the ruling Congress party, he added.
