YCP’s 320 secret GOs getting exposed soon!

Published by

The previous government led by YSR Congress party under YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ruined the image of Andhra Pradesh and relegated it back to several years on development front by adopting destructive policies and regressive tactics, feels ruling party leaders.

Among many of those controversial decisions taken during the last years, issue of several government orders in incognito without any transparency received a huge backlash not just from the opponents but also from the public.

Reportedly, YS Jagan’s regime issued nearly 320 secret GOs from 2019-2024 and the majority of them pertain to the pivotal Revenue and Home department. There was a huge outcry on these GOs from opposition parties in those days as they demanded the government to reveal the GOs in public forms to maintain the trust and accountability among the people.

Even Courts also directed the government to make those GOs public after a series of petitions by TDP and BJP leaders. During 2014-19, all GOs used to be uploaded in the official portal of the government. But, Jagan’s government scrapped the idea for reasons best known to him. Even after Court orders, the GOs weren’t disclosed.

Now, the TDP-led coalition government has decided to expose all the secret GOs issued in the last five years. Chandrababu Naidu promised during his poll campaign that his government will put out all such GOs after coming back to power.

Reports suggest that the present government decided to disclose all the GOs in the public domain and let people know about the decisions taken regarding policy matters and other functions. It will also expose the secret GOs hidden by Jagan Mohan Reddy with a malafide intention.
