The YSR Congress had no shortage of firebrands while Jagan was the CM. However, after the historic downfall in the recent polls, none of these firebrands are in a position to take action. In fact, they are not even able to set foot in their own constituencies.
Gudivada’s Kodali Nani, despite serving as a four-time MLA, is unable to go to his constituency and is confining himself to Hyderabad. Even when he has work in Andhra Pradesh, he reportedly comes to Vijayawada and then heads back.
Gannavaram’s ex-MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi has been staying in the USA for a while now. After ruling Gannavaram for a decade, he finds himself miles away due to all the negative remarks he made about Chandrababu and Lokesh during his earlier term.
The same applies to Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, who hasn’t set foot in his bastion of Pungunur for the last four months. Former minister Roja is also far from Nagari.
In Vijayawada, there is no one to raise their voice for the YCP, as Malladi Vishnu and Vellampalli Srinivas have been staying away from party affairs.
In total, it is estimated that nearly 50-60 YCP leaders and ex-MLAs, who once dominated their constituencies for the last five years, are nowhere to be seen. This is largely due to the dominance of NDA MLAs in their respective areas and the fraud allegations these candidates are facing for their misrule during the YCP tenure.
