‘Tappemundi’ ? Young Minster about CBN’s reprimand

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party president Chandrababu Naidu is adopting a zero tolerance approach towards his Ministers and MLAs so as to ensure efficiency and transparency in governance during his current tenure. He is sparing no misconduct or lethargic intent from any one and immediately pulling them to take remedial measures.

In one such instance, Naidu recently reprimanded Ramachandrapuram MLA and state labour minister Vasamsetti Subhash in a teleconference call over his inability to enrol the majority of voters in the upcoming MLC elections from graduates quota. While reviewing the progress of enrolment, Naidu found that only minor percentage of eligible voters were found registered for these elections under Subhash’s constituency.

So, Naidu sharply rebuked Subhash for his negligence and indifferent approach in following the instructions of high command. During the call, Chief Minister strongly advised him to give up the careless attitude and work effectively being a first time MLA and also being a responsible Minister. This audio went viral all over and YSR Congress party supporters tried to project that the Chief Minister is dealing harshly with his ministers.

Meanwhile, Vasamsetti Subhash reacted on the matter and said there is nothing wrong in the manner Chandrababu Naidu took him to task when there is no prompt response in the job entrusted to him by the party. During his media interaction on Tuesday, Subhash clarified that there is no need of any misunderstanding in this issue because he regards CBN as his father and mentor. He replied ‘ Tappemundi’ ( what is wrong in it) when asked about his reaction on the issue.

When he noticed that I was not up to the task and lagging behind my responsibility, Chief Minister pointed my mistake and asked to rectify it. There is nothing wrong in it, said Shubash.

The Minister also took to his social media and stated that he is fortunate to have Chandrababu Naidu as his mentor and guide who gave political entrant like him an opportunity to become a legislator and later a ministry. He further said that Naidu trusted him with a giant responsibility and nudges him whenever there are gaps in discharging his duties.
