As the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh adopted a zero tolerance approach towards hate mongering on social media with an intention to curb the perennial menace and to set a strong precedent, many of the social media supporters relating to YSR Congress party who resorted to unrestrained online abuse against prominent leaders and their families in the last five years are now deleting their accounts and disappearing to avoid arrest.
Recently, a close aide of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wife YS Bharathi, Varra Ravindra Reddy, who posted slanderous comments and derogatory remarks on several leaders in the last five years, was arrested by Kadapa police as numerous cases were pending against him in Hyderabad and Mangalagiri. Varra was nabbed after a long search operation when he was trying to escape near Mahabubnagar border. He is currently in investigation. The government is very serious on this matter and ordered a detailed enquiry on his dramatic escape.
Reportedly, Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy’s PA Raghav Reddy, who is alleged to have helped Varra Ravindra Reddy in his escape last week, has now went into hiding to avoid potential arrest by police. Raghav Reddy is said to have communicated with Varra Ravindra through WhatsApp when the latter was at large after his arrest and subsequent release by Kadapa police.
Kadapa police are now on the lookout for Raghav Reddy. They have enquired about his whereabouts at his residence in Pulivendula. Meanwhile, Avinash Reddy reacted on Raghav Reddy’s issue and questioned why the police want to apprehend his PA without any reason.
There are allegations that Avinash Reddy was behind Varra Ravindra Reddy’s escape plan. So, if his PA Raghav Reddy is caught, the police might interrogate him to find out if it was Avinash Reddy who helped Varra Ravindra Reddy in his escape.
