Don’t Dare To Threaten Officers: Pawan Warns YCP

In an indirect warning to the YCP leaders, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan said the government would not spare anybody who threatens senior government officials and IAS officers.

Speaking to mediapersons in Guntur, he said there is information that YCP leaders are issuing threats to senior police officers in Chittoor.

He said that there are reports that YCP men are warning IPS officer Subbarayudu and even the DGP, saying that they would hunt them down, even if they try to take refuge in the remotest place.

Pawan Kalyan issued a strict warning that their government would register suo moto cases against those responsible if any of the government officers were manhandled or physically hurt. “You will have to bear the consequences of your indiscriminate action,” he said.

The NDA government is a good government but not a weak one, he asserted.

The Deputy Chief Minister also promised to provide security to the APCC chief Y.S. Sharmila if she sought protection.

In the wake of the property dispute with her brother and former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and potential threats, the Congress sought extending ‘Y’ category security to her.

Congress general secretary in AP, SN Raja even wrote a letter to DGP Dwaraka Tirumala Rao raising concern about her safety.
