Of late, the Telugu social media space has been largely filled with filth and gore. Especially, the political circles associated with AP and Telangana politics have been speaking filth about each other. In order to curb this, some corrective measure had to be taken and the same is being done by the NDA government in AP.
The government has instigated the police to nab those who have been sharing morphed pics of leaders and their families and also those who have been sharing false narratives.
Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan has spoken about the same as he breathed fire on the social media batch that crosses the line with their highly offensive social media posts.
Pawan noted constructive criticism is healthy for democracy but not abuses, death threats and rape threats to any individual not just political leaders.
“In Democracy, we all can differ on many issues and expressing dissent should be confined to policy. Don’t target families, individuals, caste slurs, attack on ones faith, their Gods and Goddesses and people who are helpless and meek. And just you have muscle power , money power and criminal gangs; that will never intimidate an average citizen of this Bharat.” Pawan noted.
The deputy CM closed out his statement by saying “So my request to all criminal gangs and social media abusers of previous regime ‘ think 100 times before you abuse. Karma will catch up.” The fact that Pawan warned these criminal gangs to think 100 times before abusing shows how serious the NDA government is about restoring normalcy in the social media space and curb abusive culture.
