Jagan’s Plan For AP Assembly: Never Before Ever After

Andhra Pradesh assembly sessions are starting today, November 11, a number that rings a bell with YCP as the party has 11 MLAs on its side. Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav is all geared up to present the budget in the house today and related arrangements are underway.

However, thanks to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s oddly peculiar planning, the Andhra Pradesh assembly is going to witness something that was never seen in the past and is not likely to happen in the future either.

Firstly, YCP is boycotting the assembly sessions today, meaning no MLA from the party will partake in the in-house debate today. On top of that, Jagan has odly instructed his MLAs to enter the house only during the designated period when they are allocated time to raise questions against the government. Even then, Jagan wont be entering the assembly and he will only send his MLAs.

During the time of the assembly sessions, Jagan is scheduled to hold a media meet where he intends to speak against the government. While he had full right to go the assembly and speak against the government with the CM and deputy CM right inside the house, he decided to skip this and instead question them in front of the media.

This is the first time in divided AP’s brief history that an assembly session is being held entirely with the ruling alliance. There is no trace of the opposition, barring selective participation from certain YCP MLAs.

Notably, despite having only 23 MLAs and having many of them suspended for various reasons, TDP always partook in the assembly sessions between 2019-24. But that isn’t even remotely the case with Jagan’s faction now as they are doing their best to skip the session.

All in all, AP assembly is going to witness the kind of scenes that have never happened in the past and not likely to be repeated in the future either, thanks to one man – YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
