National parties have a customary habit of utilizing their star campaigners and charismatic leaders for elections across the country. In line with this, the NDA alliance seems to have devised a plan to deploy AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan for their campaign in Maharashtra.
According to the latest reports, Pawan Kalyan is set to campaign for the NDA alliance in Maharashtra on the 16th and 17th of this month. He will be campaigning for NDA candidates in selected parts of Maharashtra on these dates. Pawan plays a key role in alliance formation in AP and also had a 100% strike rate in the AP elections. But can Pawan show the same level of influence in Maharashtra? While he may not have a large impact on Marathi voters, he can certainly sway Telugu and South Indian voters in the state.
The route map and the exact constituencies where Pawan will campaign have yet to be made public, but the dates have been finalized.
Notably, it was CM Chandrababu Naidu who recently introduced Pawan Kalyan to Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde at the famous Ambani wedding earlier this year. This camaraderie appears to be playing a significant role now.
From a disappointing campaign in AP in 2019 to becoming one of the national faces of the NDA in 2024, Pawan Kalyan has come a long way and is making his followers proud, it must be said.
