Law student files case on Kodali Nani

Kodali Nani

The disgusting manner in which former Gudivada MLA and Civil Supplies Minister of YSRCP Kodali Nani spoke about leaders like Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh received outright public condemnation from all quarters because of the filthy language he used during media interactions.

The supporters of Telugu Desam Party endured the absuive campaign of Nani and others in the last five years with a hope that they will face the consequences once YSRCP loses power. Even Nara Lokesh also openly stated that Nani will be paraded with underwear in the streets for insulting his family once TDP comes to power. But so far no action has been initiated against Nani much to the disappointment of TDP cadre.

Amidst this scenario, a law student from Vishakapatnam came forward to lodge a complaint against Kodali Nani for his abusive language against Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh. She filed a written complaint on Saturday against Nani that his offensive words on CBN and Lokesh caused her acute mental distress. A case has been registered following this complaint. This is the first case on Nani for his foul language.

After the humiliating defeat in 2024 elections, Kodali Nani disappeared from the political scene of Andhra Pradesh. He came before the media only once in the last six months. He has already announced that he won’t take part in next term elections. As the NDA government led by Chandrababu Naidu has decided to put an end to the menace of social media abuse to set a strong precedent by arresting several supporters of YSR Congress party for their hate campaign, the followers of Telugu Desam Party and Janasena are anticipating a strict action all such big leaders and prominent persons who made derogatory remarks against their leaders.

Cases have already been booked against Sri Reddy, Posani Krishna Murali and Ram Gopal Varma. Now, Kodali Nani also joins the list. How the government goes ahead with these cases is keenly awaited.
