CBN’s Masterplan To Get Closer To Public

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party national president Chandrababu Naidu rised like a pheonix from the ashes with a resounding mandate in the crucial 2024 elections. Besides storming back to power in the state, Naidu also played the role of a game changer at the centre as the NDA government led by PM Modi retained another term with the help of TDP-JSP coalition.

From the very first day of taking charge, Naidu has been stressing on the fact that he governance style in the next five years will be akin to that of the 1995 days when he led the united Andhra Pradesh as Chief Minister for the first time unlike the previous tenure during 2014-19. He has already been adopting strong and powerful strategies like his did in 1995 to bring several reforms to develop the state in the coming years.

Besides taking critical decisions for the betterment of the state, Naidu is focussing more on getting closer to the public so as to deliver better governance and welfare. This is why he has been frequently insisting his MLAs and MPs to interact with the public more often than ever and dedicate adequate time in their respective constituencies to listen their grievances. Even Naidu himself is personally taking public grievances once in a while at the CMO.

Reportedly, Chandrababu Naidu has now decided to revive his popular ‘Dial Your CM’ idea which he implemented effectively during the 90s during his first two terms as CM. Through this initiative, Naidu used to interact with the public and know about the grievances and also took feedback about the functioning of the government.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Bhaat, which is one the similar lines, turned out to be a very successful, Naidu has decided to bring back ‘Dial Your CM’ again so that he can directly reach out to the public and address their issues. Chandrababu himself announced this plan during the assembly sessions on Wednesday and necessary arrangements are being made by the CMO officials. This program is likely to start from Sankranti festival in January.

It well known how the previous government under Jagan Mohan Reddy faced criticism for not addressing the public grievances. So, Naidu’s masterplan to get closer to public will be a welcome step. Moreover, MLAs and MPs will also be cautious about issues in their constituencies as the CM himself is directly having a face-to-face word with the people across the state.
