Bumper Win For Alliance, But CM Changing!

The Maharashtra electoral trends are painting a super happy picture for the NDA alliance with the Maratha state entirely backing the saffron brigade while Congress, NCP, and Shiv Sena are left in the dust.

However, despite the overwhelming lead for the NDA alliance, they are opting for a change of CM as the incumbent CM Eknath Shinde who joined NDA from Shiv Sena and formed a new coalition government in 2022 is being replaced.

Devendra Fadnavis who served as a CM between 2014-19, and then as deputy CM from 2022-24 is now being proposed as the new CM of Maharashtra.

As per reports, Fadnavis could be swearing in as the CM on the 26th of this month. Apparently, the Maharashtra BJP chief is already at Fadnavis’s house while the BJP cadres are celebrating outside the premises. He could well be the next CM of Maharashtra, replacing Eknath Shinde.

The NDA is heading for a clearly decisive lead of 225+ seats out of the existing 288 seats in Maharashtra as the saffron brigade has firmly captured the trust of the Maharashtra voters. This is a strong win for the NDA.
