Why did YCP win the 11 seats, Naidu Asks Robin Sharma

Published by

Politics is not just money and power. Political leaders are hard working and are also keen observers, thinking beyond what the electorate view and perceive.

Robin Sharma, the master political strategist who paved the electioneering tracks for veteran politicians like TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu and Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, revealed the attention politicians give to every minute detail during the poll season.

During a discussion with a private news channel, Sharma recalled when Chandrababu Naidu asked him to analyse how the YCP secured 11 seats, despite his party registering a landslide victory in the state.

The TDP coalition government won 164 of the 175 seats, with the TDP registering victory in 135 of the 144 contested seats.

Sharma’s revelation indicates how shrewd political leaders analyse every poll and try to confront their rivals, both in the Assembly and during the polls.

Sharma also stated that both Eknath Shinde and Chandrababu Naidu are astute and very hard working. They never get overconfident even when they can foresee victory for their parties, he said.

Striking a balance between welfare and development is crucial for every political leader. They need to focus on generating wealth and disbursing the same to the marginalized sections in the society.

Sharma’s revelations reflect that only brainy and brawny political leaders win the toughest battle on the ground.

Robin Sharma, founder of Showtime Consultancy (STC), had worked as the director of Prashant Kishor’s Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC).
