Media baron BR Naidu, who owns and operates TV5 Media, was mostly a non-vocal person back in the day. Despite heading a media channel, he rarely came in front of the camera or interacted publicly. However, now that he has been appointed as the new chairman of TTD, he has altered his stance.
BR Naidu has been appearing in public more than ever and has even participated in media interviews. In one such interview, he candidly spoke about working for the TDP for over four decades and finally realizing his aspiration recently.
“I have been with TDP right from the very beginning. I joined right after Sr. NTR launched the party and silently did my best for it. Not once did I ask for a favor or a position of power in the last 42 years,” BR Naidu said.
Regarding the TTD chairman post, he revealed, “Last year, I met Chandrababu garu at his Jubilee Hills residence. I expressed my wish to render my services as the TTD chairman. He (Chandrababu) thought for a second and then replied that I deserved it. This is an opportunity for me to serve as the TTD chairman, which feels like the culmination of my efforts over the last four decades.”
Shortly after taking charge as the TTD chairman, BR Naidu focused on several reforms, including enhancing the quality of laddus, reducing the waiting time for Sarvadarshan, implementing VRS for non-Hindu employees in TTD, and introducing other much-needed reforms in the TTD board.
