YSRCP’s defiant MP Raghurama Krishna Raju is back and this time he has focused on the Royal family of Vizianagaram and the controversy surrounding their family. Raghurama Raju said Sanchaita Gajapathi Raju was 2 years or 3 years old when her parents Uma Gajapathi Raju and Ananda Gajapathi Raju were separated. He said Ananda Gajapathi Raju and Uma’s was a love marriage, but they had later parted ways and divorced in 1991. The Narsapuram MP said Ananda and Uma were formally divorced as per the law and all financial issues were settled. He said the custody of Sanchaita legally went to her mother Uma. He said her mother Uma had also served as MP and an independent lady who was born in Palakkad and studied in Chennai. Raghurama said Uma had wanted to lead her independent life and married one Ramesh Sharma.
Raghurama Krishna Raju said no one would expect that the girl would return and be made as the Simhachalam Temple Trust Chief. Raju said an article written by Sanchaita, which was published on Nov 23, 2013, clearly discussed Sanchaita’s works as well as her family roots. Reading out the article, Raghurama Raju said the article had mentioned Ramesh Sharma, an activist, filmmaker and award-winning documentary maker, as her father.
Raghurama Krishna Raju said Ananda Gajapathi Raju was married again and he was married to Sudha Raju after his divorce with Uma. Raghurama said Ananda Gajapathi Raju had also declared his daughter Urmila Raju with Sudha Raju as his heiress in the will. Raghurama said he had heard Urmila’s recent statements in the media and she was studying in London. Raghurama Raju said that had if his party’s general secretary (without naming Vijay Sai Reddy) wanted to have the heir of Ananda Gajapathi Raju to head the Simhachalam Temple Trust, it should be widowed wife Sudha Gajapathi Raju or daughter Urmila Gajapathi Raju who are the rightful heir. Raghurama Raju said Sanchaita’s school records also had Ramesh Sharma as her father. He said the recent issue which took place at the Sri Paidithalli Ammavari Sirimanotsavam was unfortunate as it was “insult” to the Royal family members and the rightful heir of late Ananda Gajapathi Raju.
On the whole, Raghurama Krishna Raju has read out the whole story of Sanchaita Gajapathi Raju. Although all these have been in public domain and have been put on record in the media by the Royal family and the TDP leaders, Raghurama Krishna Raju taking up the whole issue has garnered all the attention.
Raghurama Raju through the media told Sanchaita that she was wrong and the way she conducted things was not fair. He alleged that Sanchaita was acting at the behest of “someone” (indicating at YSRCP’s senior leadership). Raghurama told her that they are her family members no matter and she shouldn’t have behaved so. He told her that it is “incorrect” on her part to do so. That’s RRR and his class to Sanchaita. Now, we need to wait and see what would be Sanchaita’s response to RRR’s comments in this family feud in the Royal family.
