There is no debating the fact that Telugu Desam is always a party of the masses and it boasts such volumes of the kind of loyal cadres that we don’t usually see for any other regional party in India.
Despite the already super strong structural integrity of Telugu Desam, the party is still going super strong with its newly launched membership drive. This drive is such a massive success that TDP has rolled in 50 lakh new members shops in under a month.
As per the statistics, TDP has added 50 lakh members across Andhra Pradesh in just 29 days. To put this into perspective, AP’s population in 2022 is clocked at 5.33 crore and at this rate, 10% of the total state population is enrolled with TDP membership. This is no easy feat.
TDP was anyway miles ahead of any South Indian party when it comes to cadres, and with this new milestone, the party is right up there at the national level. Having such a massive registered membership drive is not easy by any means.
Not stopping there, TDP is said to be aiming at enrolling 1 crore members in the due course, which would set it completely apart from others even at the national level.
This positive upswing for TDP membership started off when Nara Lokesh ideated and executed the plan to provide Rs 5 lakh health insurance for the membership that costs just 100 rs. This proved to be the game changer for TDP membership drive and it is yielding rich rewards now.
