Shortly after taking charge as the CM for the fourth time, CM Chandrababu Naidu vowed to keep the government workforce on the run like how he used to back in mid-90s. Incidentally, on the occasion of Constitution Day celebration last evening, Babu briefly spoke with government employees and had an interesting advise to them.
CM Babu noted that government employees must develop a culture of doing smart work rather than hard work. He even advised them not to stay in offices after 6 PM.
“We have sufficient technology and equipment to get the work done efficiently and briskly. You must attune yourself to these technologies and make sure your work gets done in a smart and swift manner. There is no point in logging extra hours to work tirelessly.” Babu noted.
With the onset of the AI trend and the upgradation of digital apparatus, the file processing and data entry works which traditionally needed paperwork have been streamlined with the latest tech. Being a tech-savvy himself, Babu has urged employees to work more in tune with the latest technology rather than logging extra hours.
Interestingly, the same Naidu who kept government employees on their feat in the 90s with flash visits to the secretariat has now advised the same employees to work smart and avoid long hours. He has enlightened them about the latest technologies.
This is perhaps an indication of how well he has evolved with the current day working standards and how he wants the workforce to keep pace with him. This is the kind of proactive and hands-on approach that sets Babu apart from the rest.
