The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has always been built on the foundation of a strong cadre, and this was evident with the historic comeback in the 2024 elections. In line with this, Nara Lokesh has been actively engaging with the party’s cadres, both online and offline, in a bid to strengthen the party further. However, he was dealt a shock a couple of days ago when a hardcore supporter decided to end his life.
The TDP social media activist, Srinu, was a devoted and fierce supporter of Lokesh for years and had an active presence on social media. He was recognized by Lokesh himself due to his unwavering efforts for the party. Unfortunately, Srinu recently attempted suicide for personal reasons.
Upon learning of the incident, Lokesh immediately ordered authorities to provide the best possible medical care for Srinu at the Manipal Hospital in Mangalagiri. However, despite these efforts, Srinu sadly passed away shortly afterward.
The loss of Srinu has evidently affected Nara Lokesh deeply, and he shared an emotional message in this context. “Srinu, you were with me through thick and thin. You texted me whenever those around you needed help. Why didn’t you text me when you yourself needed support?” Lokesh tweeted. He also assured the family of the deceased of all possible support.
Lokesh urged his cadres and activists to refrain from taking such drastic steps and to instead channel their thoughts and energies into sustaining life. He emphasized that family and friends are always ready to offer support in times of need. “Brathiki Undaam, Marikondarni Brathikinchukundam,” Lokesh concluded his emotional message on social media.
It’s not often that we see politicians share such heartfelt and emotional messages for their supporters. However, considering the bond Lokesh has developed with the party’s cadres over the years, his emotional reaction is understandable in this case.
