Earthquake In Telugu States: Tremors Felt In Hyderabad Too

On Wednesday early morning, the earthquakes across the Telugu states left residents in panic and fear, as tremors were felt in multiple districts. The reports say that a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter Scale hit Telangana’s Mulugu at 7:26 AM.

Tremors were felt in Vijayawada, Jaggayapet, and surrounding villages. Light tremors were reported in Tadithota and Morampudi areas of Rajahmundry. Similar incidents were noted in Chintoor division, with villages in Koonavaram, VR Puram, and Etapaka mandals experiencing mild shaking.

Nujiveed and Dwarakathirumala areas reported tremors, with objects falling from shelves in some homes due to the vibrations. Prathipadu in Kakinada district and parts of Mylavaram constituency, including Reddygudem, Nandigama, and Kanchikacharla mandals, experienced minor quakes.

Warangal city and surrounding areas faced slight tremors, with residents rushing out in fear. The tremors lasted for a few seconds, creating confusion among the locals. Earthquakes were reported in Kothagudem town and Manuguru sub-division, with tremors felt around 7:27-7:28 AM. Gangaram in Mahabubabad district experienced stronger vibrations, causing some people to fall from their chairs.

Parts of Hyderabad, including Borabanda, Rahmat Nagar, Karmika Nagar, and Yusufguda, reported mild tremors.

However, there were no reports of casualties or major damage so far and more details on the same is awaited.
