US Election 2020 Results Live : Joe Biden – 238, Trump – 213

Even as the voting is still underway in several parts of the United States, results are coming in from states where the poll has ended. As per reports, Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden is ahead of Republican Party’s nominee and incumbent President Donald Trump in terms of early electoral votes. The Live Results indicate that former Vice President Joe Biden is leading in the overall Electoral College vote tally. As of 1.45 PM IST, Joe Biden has got 238 electoral votes whereas Donald Trump is confined to 213 electoral votes. A candidate needs 270 electoral votes for victory in terms of electoral votes.

Joe Biden is leading in these states – Arizona, Nevada, New Hampshire, Delaware, Illinois, New Jersey, Vermont, Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Minnesota, Hawaii.

Donald Trump is leading in these states – Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, Montana, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana, Kansas.

Given the Covid-19 pandemic, voters have been urged to vote early through email and postal in order to avoid long queues. Over 101 million votes have been cast through early vote. In addition to this, polling authorities are waiting for about 26.8 million mail ballots. It is estimated that more than 73 percent of the total votes counted in 2016 presidential election have been polled even before the Election Day i.e Nov 3, 2020. This time, the counting is expected to be delayed.

Currently, the polling is closed in most eastern states. But it’s still underway in the central and western states. Here is who is leading where.

Joe Biden (238 Electoral Votes) : Arizona, Nevada, New Hampshire, Delaware, Illinois, New Jersey, Vermont, Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Minnesota, Hawaii.
