After 11 Days, Finally CM Is Finalized

It is known that the NDA alliance stormed to power in Maharashtra in the most astonishing manner by winning a whopping 237 seats in the assembly elections. This electoral mandate was above and beyond everyone’s expectations.

However, as it turned out, this was just half the story. The triumphant alliance then had to scale an uphill challenge of finalizing the CM of the state. It has been 11 days since the election got completed and there is still no confirmation on who will be the CM.

However, the latest updates are suggesting that BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, who was always tipped to be the favourite to attain the CM chair is being strengthened now.

The BJP core committee meeting that happened today has fixated on Fadnavis for the CM post. Considering BJP’s strength in the assembly, the allies, Shivsena and NCP are now bound to play along.

Though Shivsena’s Eknath Shinde and NCP’s Ajit Pawar were adamant about leaving the CM post to BJP’s Fadnavis, the decision has been made by the saffron camp now. Needless to say, any further delay in electing the alliance’s CM candidate could lead to public outrage.

The official announcement on the CM could be made in a short span and Fadnavis is likely to take charge as Maharashtra’s CM tomorrow, 5 December.
