With the resurgence of the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh, the Amaravati capital project has started to regain lost mojo. After blatant ignorance by the YCP government in the earlier 5-year tenure or so, the Amaravati prospect is alive and shining again.
Coming to the point now, a commoner has now done something remarkable by donating Rs 1 crore towards Amaravati construction by selling their house plot in Hyderabad.
A lady named Vijayalakshmi who met CM Chandrababu yesterday to hand over the cheque for Rs 1 crore noted that it was her mother, Indiradevi’s wish to sell the piece of land in Hyderabad and contribute this money towards Amaravati.
She told CM Babu that contributing their hard-earned money towards Amaravati would make them a part of history and this gives them more pride than owning the land.
Chandrababu commended the lady for her grit and dedication to contribute to Amaravati and later appreciated her for this generous act. This will certainly go down as one of the spirited stories behind Amaravati and also instates how big of a public-inclusive enterprise this capital project is.
