Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s brother Konidela Nagababu, who has been playing an active role in the party affairs of Janasena since its launch in 2014, is likely to be nominated for a key position in the present government very soon as per the latest murmurs in the political and the media circles.
Reportedly, Nagababu’s candidature has been finalized for a cabinet berth in the present NDA government led by Chandrababu Naidu. At present, there are 24 ministers in the state cabinet of Andhra Pradesh and there is a chance to accomodate one more minister. So, Nagababu is most likely to be inducted into the cabinet by TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu to honour his alliance partner Janasena.
In the present cabinet, Janasena has representation of three ministers namely Pawan Kalyan, Kandula Durgesh and Nadendla Manohar. Sources revealed that Naidu initially promised to give four ministers to Janasena, but filled only three in the first cabinet after the formation of the new government in June this year. Now, agreed to fulfil the promise by accepting Pawan Kalyan’s request to nominate Nagababu as the fourth minister from Janasena.
Nagababu’s name has been surfacing in the media headlines quite often ever since the NDA government came to power. Initially ,there were reports that Nagababu will be given the coveted TTD Board chairman post. Later, there were speculations that he will be sent to Rajyasabha. Now, he seems to be finally getting a cabinet berth in the state and this will put an end to the suspense.
There is a talk from the beginning that Nagababu will be given a prominent position because he sacrificed his MP seat for BJP in the 2024 elections. Moreover, he has been with Pawan Kalyan through thick and thin in the last ten years. So, he is going get the due at last.
We have to wait and see what portfolio will Nagababu get as a cabinet minister.
