After having lost the 2023, Telangana assembly election, BRS president and ex-chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has mostly been confining himself to his farm house. In the last one year, not once did KCR take part in an assembly session.
Reacting on this topic, BRS working president KTR made a very interesting remark as he nearly confirmed that KCR will not be attending the assembly for the next four years as well.
When asked about the reason why KCR is not attending the assembly session, KTR went on to site other examples. He noted that Sr. NTR, Jayalalithaa, and other ex CMs also stay away from the Assembly for elongated periods but again won the public mandate and then stepped into the house CMs.
KTR appeared to confirm that KCR will set foot again in the Assembly only if he becomes the chief minister in the next election.
Then the shocking revelation from KTR as he heed that he and his fellow leaders are also advising KCR to avoid the Assembly. “Yes we are stopping him from coming to the assembly. Why must he come to the assembly? To be humiliated by them(Congress) idem dikkumaalina sadism?”
In response to KTR’s statements, Telangana Congress leaders are questioning the morals behind the same. They are pointing out that it is extremely problematic that KCR and KTR are seeing assembly sessions with such regard.
“How can an opposition leader be humiliated to come to the assembly. Doesn’t this mean he is dissenting the public mandate? Isn’t he distorting the electoral mandate given by the people? If he is ashamed of holding this position then why not resign?” An anguished Congress supporter wrote on social media.
