The Telangana BJP wing has started to gain prominence in the political equilibrium. Though the party one only 8 MLA seats in the 2023 assembly, election fought back fiercely in the parliamentary elections and won 8 MP seats this year.
However, despite the steady growth of BJP in Telangana, the party high command is said to be orchestrating shift in the powerhead. As per national media reports, the existing chief of Telangana BJP, Kishan Reddy could be replaced very soon.
Apparently, the BJP think tank is siding with Bandi Sanjay this time around. The general consensus in the local BJP cadres is also such that Sanjay Is the right leader for the party now.
By nature, Kishan Reddy is a soft person who is not necessarily known for aggressive political warfare. If we put this against an alpha mindset man like Revanth Reddy and immensely gifted vocal leader KCR, BJP might be falling miles behind.
Apparently, this is the reason why an aggressive and extremely vocal Bandi Sanjay is back in the mix. Sanjay might occasionally make unnecessarily provocative comments, but he has the vocal command to grip the cadres.
Moreover, Sanjay hails from the BC community and is a native of north Telangana, where the BJP appears to be conventionally stronger. Adding to that the Telangana BJP wing is wanting to have a BC community candidate for the chief ministerial position. This will add to the prospect of Sanjay.
Must be noted that Sanjay was leading the party some 18 months ago before he was replaced by Kishan Reddy. Now this political move could be rolled back with Bandi Sanjay back at the helm for Telangana BJP unit.
It is being reported that Telangana BJP might be getting its new commander in chief in January and the new man for the job is Bandi Sanjay himself. With the GHMC elections not too far from now this saffron party wants a major power shift through Sanjay say reports.
