The NDA government is determined on imposing the Jamili election procedure in the country. In accordance, the “One nation one election” bill was also presented in the parliament and it has been referred the Joint Political Committee for further review.
As it appears former Andhra Pradesh, CM Jagan is pinning all his hopes on the Jamili election procedure. He addressed this topic in his interaction with his party cadres today.
“Uttar Pradesh is going to polls in February 2027. Then there is the proposed Jamili election in 2029. It is not feasible to hold Uttar Pradesh’s elections twice in such a short period of time. UP is a big state and holding the election twice is not possible. So my estimate and assessment is that early elections will be called across the country by the end of 2027 or early 2028. My appeal to YCP cadres is to start preparing for the electoral battle again” Jagan said.
Jagan said his five years tenure as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh passed in a blink of an eye and added that the ongoing NDA tenure will also be completed in a blink of an eye.
What must be noted here is that CM Chandrababu Naidu had recently confirmed that there is no case of early elections in India and concluded that the Jamili election will be held only after 2029. Even the provisional document states that the ‘One nation one election’ procedure will be imposed only after 2029.
Jagan Mohan Reddy, being a seasoned politician must have an idea of what’s happening. Is he hyping up his cadres about 2027 election only to bring them out of the diabolical 11-seat performance in 2023? Or is he assuming that the polls will be held in 2027, based on hearsay? Only time will answer.
