Those who have been closely following national politics have come to the conclusion that Chandrababu Naidu has quickly emerged as one of the pivotal leaders for the NDA at the Central level. He is getting priority appointments with PM Modi and other Union cabinet ministers, apart from being a key consultant for the NDA outfit.
Going into the story, Chandra Babu had a busy day in the nation’s capital yesterday as he had consecutive meetings with several union Cabinet ministers.
The day started with Chandrababu offering prayers at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Memorial in Delhi, and this was followed with a quick meeting with India leaders at JP Nadda’s house.
Shortly after Babu met union minister, Ashwini Vaishnav and Nirmala Sita Raman. He then went on to meet the main architects of the NDA alliance, Amit Shah and PM Modi himself.
Several important topics, including distribution of central funds to Andhra Pradesh, extended Railway lines and steel plant projects reportedly came to discussion in these consecutive meetings.
After meeting Modi, Chandrababu said “I brought to the Hon’ble PM’s attention the diversion of funds from 94 central schemes by the previous government. I also highlighted the sincere efforts being made by my govt to revive these schemes”. Babu then presented Modi a copy of the Swarnandhra Vision 2047 and discussed plans for his visit in January to inaugurate key projects.
This high-level Delhi trip could mean financial business to Andhra Pradesh as it is expected that the centre could be releasing substantial funds to the state through multiple dispensaries.
